“We are proud of our history of successful integration of pilot groups and the respectful treatment of our colleagues, and we welcome our Air Georgian ALPA colleagues to jazz,” said Capt. Claude Buraglia, president of the Master Executive Council (MEC) of jazz pilots. The ratification of the interim agreement was a precondition for the implementation and renewal of the Capacity Purchase Contract (CPA) between Air Canada and Jazz, as announced on January 14, 2019. The amendment and extension of the CPA is subject to the conclusion of Air Canada`s $97.26 million interest in Chorus, which contains customary terms of execution. Chorus expects the participation to be completed by February 8, 2019 at the latest, after which the amendment and extension of the CPA will be effective. “I have to pay tribute to our negotiating committee and to several members of the MEC,” Buraglia said. “They have worked tirelessly across the country, not once, but twice, to ensure that our pilots have all the information and facts they need to make an informed decision for their ratification vote.” Founded on September 1, 2010 with headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Chorus`s vision is to bring regional aviation to the world. Since 2011, Chorus has leased its own regional aircraft to operate Jazz Air Canada Express and has established Chorus Aviation Capital as the world`s leading provider of regional aircraft leases. Together, the Chorus Group can offer a range of regional aviation support services.
